Jon - Airport Engineer
Jon told his boss on April 25, 2002 that his last day will be June 14. He took it fairly well. I am releaved to have this done with. When we come back from our year off I hope to find a new engineering job with a company closer to home. Part of this is from our desire to live simpler lives. I want to spend less of my time in the car, pollute the earth less, and work for a smaller company,
Jon worked for URS Corp. in the Civil Department. URS is the largest Architectural Design firm in the world. He did work for airports in the midwest region. This consists of mostly general aviation airports in Michigan. He did a little bit of everything. New airport design, master planning, pavement rehabilitation, expansion, lighting installation, construction management, and approach clearing to name a few.
