Saron's Wedding

For a different look at these two "friends," place your mouse over the picture.

Some more pictures from the wedding are here.

Deb’s sister Sarah married Aron Zuidhof on July 28, 2001. It was a wonderful wedding and we are both so happy for them. They honeymooned in Ireland and then drove to British Columbia where they set up their home.

Highlights of the wedding celebrations included:

The meaningful service that Sarah and Aron created. We siblings sang one verse of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" after walking down the aisle and then Sarah and Aron walked down with the parents during an instrumental version of the same hymn. During the service, Sarah and Aron had water poured on their hands to symbolize the pouring of God’s love to them. At the end, Danielle, Pake (Deb’s mom’s dad), and Deb sang Sarah and Aron a blessing at the end of the service.

The outstanding MCs at the reception. We tried our hand at Mcing – it was a little nerve-wracking but we managed to polish it off. To look at the multiple choice quiz we made for the reception program click here.

The folk dancing after the reception. We must admit that we were wary about how it would go over but have to say that it was a smashing hit. More people should get into this! The Zuidhof family does a lot of folk dancing and so they were the ones in charge.

The Sunday worship service at a park. After Sarah and Aron showed up on a double bike (with balloons tied to it and a sign that said "Just married"), Aron’s dad led a group of about 40 of us in a worship service. It was neat to see the continuation of what went on at the wedding the day before – worshipping and glorifying God.

The Lord will guide you always,
He will satisfy your needs
in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Isaiah 58 :11
