Current Idea

The current idea i am working on is based a lot on a quote that i read here "if you have come to help me you are wasting your time, but if you have come because your liberation is bound up in mine, let us work together" the way i think of this right now is that there are people being oppressed and anyone that is not being oppressed is part of the system that is doing the oppressing. So the way to work for the oppressed is to leave that system behind and join them. Helping the oppressed to join the system and become part of the oppressors solves nothing for the world as a whole; there will always be oppressed people until we stop this cycle. Now part of this "system" is whiteness and maleness and I cannot reject these, but I feel I am called to use this privilege to work for the oppressed. These ideas are a little too new for me to work things out very well.
