Newfoundland
August 2003
We took a 12 day trip way out east, as far east as you can go in North America. Mom and Dad Vriend, Sarah and Aron, and us took in the incredible sites of Newfoundland. The coast, the geology, and the people.
Moments later Dad threw out his back
The ferry we took overnight for 16 hours
Beautiful cost, the white is all birds, 60,000 of them!
Aron picking bake apples (a local berry)
Closeup of a bake apple
Saw The Navigators in a pub, baby went crazy
The colorful houses on the streets of St. John's
Jon's dinner, cod tongues, a local favorite
An iceburg the size of a city block
One of our better campsites
A local port
Waterfall in Grosse Morn NP
Clouds coming over the cliffs
Silly sheep on a rock
Jon and Deb on the sheep's rock
A local village on the water
What is that door for? us your ideas.
