Driving East

If the theme of our drive out West was "Canadian National Parks", then out East trip's theme was "American National Parks." We visited, hiked and camped our way through the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce - Deb grudgingly admitted that the US might just have as much beautiful scenery as her beloved Canada does.

Other highlights of the trip were visiting Jon's college roommate Randy Scholma and his wife Elizabeth in St. Louis. Elizabeth had given birth the night before (three weeks early), so the visit was cut a little short. Also, in the excitement of going to the hospital to visit them Jon forgot the bikes were on top of the car and clipped them right off on the entrance to the parking structure. But the next day we managed to attach the bikes back on and drove to Atlanta.
